After seeing the Lorax, 8 year old Emily became inspired to celebrate Earth Day by planting trees in her San Joaquin Valley neighborhood. Emily, the daughter of our program assistant Valerie, has a respiratory illness known as Valley Fever and is effected by poor air quality more than most children. On especially high pollution days (not uncommon in the county with the worst air in the Country) she is not allowed to participate in outdoor activities. Emily wants to plant trees in her community so she can help clean the air and play outside with her friends. Your donation will help Emily buy trees and support the work CRPE does year-round to help make the Valley a safe and healthy place for everyone.
