The current turmoil in Syria has forced over 35,000 people to abandon home to seek safety so far. Thousands of families are pouring into neighboring countries including Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan each day.

The past few months have seen a huge surge in violence and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) anticipates thousands more will flee for their lives in the coming weeks.

Many are left with only the clothes on their backs and rely upon UNHCR and the help and support of their hosts to survive.Thanks to our supporters, we have been able to provide life-saving shelter, assistance and protection to refugee families who have escaped the violence in Syria.

UNHCR has distributed blankets and hygiene kits. In Lebanon and Turkey, UNHCR has also helped refugee children access education. But the crisis is far from over.
