On May 6th, 2012, Jake Benarth. Para-sportsman extraordinaire, will be leading a group bike ride and after party to raise funds and awareness for Ocean Healing Group (OHG).

OHG is a non-profit 501 c3 foundation dedicated to providing once in a lifetime adaptive sports adventures to wheelchair bound youngsters and their parents.

JOIN THE PACK! The ride starts at 11:00am at Golden west and PCH in Huntington Beach and will follow the bike trail to Sunset Beach.

OHG BEACH PARTY at Cirvello's (sports bar) starts at 2pm 4115 Viking Way Long Beach CA
- Auctions, prizes and raffles

What are you doing this Cinco de Mayo weekend???...If your in the LA area, please join us this Sunday, May 6th in Huntington Beach for "Jake's Ride for OHG"!!! There will be a bike ride along the beach followed by a concert and fundraiser at Cirivello's bar and grill! Including food, awesome live music and a raffle to win a trip for two, to beautiful Costa Rica! All proceeds go to Ocean Healing Group and our JAWS (Just Add Water Surfing Program! The Oceans Healing Group is a non-profit (501c3) foundation, dedicated to providing once in a lifetime, adaptive sports adventures, to wheelchair bound youngsters and their parents. Based in Costa Rica and held in coordination with Shaka Surf Camp, it is our goal to expose these kids to a wide variety of sports and activities, things they would never have the opportunity to experience otherwise...Including, but not limited to Surfing, Snorkling, Fishing, Jungle Zip-Lines, Quad Riding, Nature Tours and Horseback Riding.

Your donations provide lodging, food and travel expenses for these disabled youngsters, but really so much more than that; They provide rehabilitation for the soul, a new found sense of adventure and perhaps most importantly of all; The experience that when they push themselves to achieve, they can make anything possible!... It is this mindset that makes up the core philosophy of the Ocean Healing Group.

"JAWS" is the flagship program of the Ocean Healing Group...Specifically geared and customized for individuals with spinal cord injuries, the JAWS program is free of cost to it's participants... Underwritten by Ocean Healing Group and generous sponsors, JAWS utilizes a phenomenal group of highly trained volunteers, all of whom posses significant in water experience and lifeguard training...Spread over the course of 8-10 days, we engage our kids in a wide variety of fun and exciting activities. Helping them to break down the personal and physical barriers, while building up their self confidence so they can expand the bounds of possibility for themselves...It's all about helping our kid's to push the bounds of possibility, helping them to carve the "Dis" out of Disability!
