Joseph Kony is the worst living criminal. He has abducted over 30,000 children and forced them to be child soldiers in Central Africa. He remains at large because he is invisible to the world. Few know his name, even fewer know his crimes. This year, we are making Joseph Kony famous. Because when he is, the world will unite for justice and demand his arrest.

100% of the money donated to Invisible Children’s Kony 2012 campaign goes to area of greatest need, including our protection and rehabilitation work in Central Africa and spreading awareness about the conflict around the world. See Invisible Children's Protection Plan for more details about ongoing projects like the Early Warning Radio Network and the Rehabilitation Center for war affected children in the conflict area.

Invisible Children is a 501(c)3 nonprofit (54-2164338) and all donations are tax deductible. You will receive a confirmation email when you submit payment.

So far 3,530,673 people from countries all over the globe have pledged support. The world is responding. In just the last few days, governments of countries and international institutions have been showing their support for stopping the LRA once and for all.

In the U.S.: Policymakers are hearing your voice and are starting to take a stand in support of ending LRA violence. In the last two weeks, two bipartisan resolutions supporting the effort against the LRA have been introduced into Congress. Together, the House resolution (http://bit.ly/H4Fw2m) by Congressmen Royce and McGovern and the Senate resolution (http://1.usa.gov/H7Xq0V) authored by Senators Coons and Inhofe, have already gained over 76 bipartisan cosponsors. Please continue to reach out to your leaders. If they have not already signed on to the KONY 2012 resolution, encourage them to do so by writing to them, attending events, and signing up for local lobby meetings( http://bit.ly/Hcc6Ll). If they have already signed on, then thank them. They need to know that we stand not just behind them, but beside them, in the fight to end LRA violence and rehabilitate abducted women and children.

Internationally:The UN is already issuing statements on what MONUSCO is doing to address the LRA; the International Criminal Court (ICC) and Ugandan government have done the same. They are stepping up their efforts because they know you care. The UN also announced, together with the AU, that the four LRA-affected countries would cooperate in a regional task force targeting the LRA. This is momentum that must be sustained. Please continue to reach out to your leaders. Ask them to go on the record and issue a formal statement showing their support for the efforts to stop LRA violence. And when they do so, send the information to socialmedia@invisiblechildren.com so we can stay informed.

And coming next week: the release of KONY 2012: PART II. This is the video that takes you deeper into the story and the solution. If you want to help stop Kony and be part of this global movement, you can't miss it.

    With deepest thanks & gratitude,
    Invisible Children
