Currently, there are more homeless children in the U.S. than at any other time since the Great Depression. Unfortunately, the stresses of homelessness often lead to anxiety, depression, poor sleep habits, and behavioral issues.
1.5 million American children go to sleep without a home each year. To help these homeless children, Project Night Night donates over 25,000 Night Night Packages every year. Each child receives a book which encourages reading and family bonding, a security blanket that can be cuddled, and a stuffed animal that can become a cherished friend.

While I understand hat people want to help other countries? Isn't it high time that we help out the people of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA? I get tired of hearing that people don't want help? That is not true! They don't want a hand out! They want a hand up! There is a huge difference! Thei are children here who need help! Let us try to work to help them. Charity begins at home! Remember that? I do.
We are in bad times here in the US so let's help our homes also.
Definitely agree. People don't want to feel like 'charity'. We all need support to be safe and to prosper, and we need to give it to those who are suffering, and lacking, so that they can help themselves. Those who say that the homeless are lazy or crazy clearly have no idea what it's like to experience such disadvantages that leaves a human being homeless.

If you're too lazy to practice safe sex, then you're definitely too lazy to raise a child. Do us all a favor and master the art of self induced sexual gratification. Masturbate or have a plan not to impregnate.
If you're too bigoted to have sympathy for homeless families, then you're definitely too ignorant to spew your crap in a public place for everyone to read. but in all honesty argentina falls into the category of those countries that are being helped through things such as missionaries etc... so yes you are right we need to make this more clear U.S.A. children we have a greater need than your eyes are able to see

This whole thing about adopting children from other countries disturbs me greatly. Aren't there enough here to take care of? Why not adopt American and take care of our own before taking on the rest of the world. Sounds selfish to some Americans/Foreigners I realize, but I'm not in the business about caring in that respect.
JOBS are the answer to Homelessness. If decent paying American Jobs are available; fathers and mothers will be able to support their families. Stop Foreclosures, Predatory Lending, and Bank stacking of withdrawals. Put Banking back in the Banking Business, and value back in the dollar. Only a Strong America will eliminate the economics woes of The World.
I worry that its getting harder & harder for a job to keep people fed and housed. This administration does not want that to happen wants us poor, starving & without a home . Did I hear Mayor Bloomberg says 300 sq feet is big enough for folks to live in he should give up his mansion & try it out before he tells other folks wha they need
With all the resources we have there shouldn't be any homeless children here in America. I'm all for helping the needy in other countries but we need to take care of our own first.. Just saying!
