I like all his books but I have chosen Great Expectations because it is the first of his novels that I read.
Read it about 60 years but forgot.

Anything Dickens wrote is worth reading because his writing in fact led to actual reforms in schools, industrial working conditions and the abolishing of debtor's prisons.
Oliver Twist. I don't think I read A tale yet-I need to.
When Iwas at intermediate and higher secondary schools we studied literature most the books were to Charles' I love all his writes.
There's no one who creates such meticulous and memorable characters as Dickens. I love A Christmas Carol; I have most of the movie versions as well. But almost anything Dickens wrote is marvelous reading.

It was a toss up between three books David Copperfield, Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol but David Copperfield won.
