As quickly as Sierra Club is dismantling coal-fired power plants across the country, we’re working to build a new energy economy, based on the full-scale deployment of renewable energy sources and energy efficient homes, offices, and transportation systems--nationwide. First stop: California. Just as California led the nation in establishing tough fuel efficiency standards, Sierra Club’s Clean Energy Solutions campaign brings together California leaders from the clean tech community, organized labor, and environmental justice groups to ensure that communities, investors, and a well-trained workforce are ready to meet the needs of overhauling our outdated, dangerous fossil fuel economy and transitioning to an economy that is sustainable, both economically and environmentally.
