Nancy Black pleads to one misdemeanor count for "feeding orcas" in violation of MMPA

Yesterday, in District Court in San Jose, California Nancy submitted a negotiated plea of guilty to a single misdemeanor count of feeding orcas in violation of the Marine Mammal Protection Act as part of a  agreement negotiated with the Department of Justice

I have known Nancy Black as a volunteer researcher for the Oceanic Society dolphin research in the Bahamas now many years ago. I have had many conversations with her, observed her behavior with fellow volunteers and with wild dolphins. I am a licensed therapist in the state of NY and can swear that she is being scapegoated and made to look like a villain which she is assuredly not. This has to stop and stop now. Ms. Black is courteous, professional to a fault and skillful with marine...
