This is Benny. He's 8 yrs old now. Adopted from the toronto humane society just after BSL was passed. He is grandfathered and legal in ontario. He was one of the lucky ones. He belongs to a friend of mine. He grew up with my now passed dog Monty and spent hours upon hours playing with him and snuggling up to sleep next to him. He will allow any person or dog to take his food from him while he's eating, he is a pathetic excuse for a guard dog and watch dog as he doesn't bark and if a stranger walks in the house all he does is approach them in hopes of being petted. He has played gently and lovingly with my son over the years and he has been a loyal, well adjusted and happy companion to his family. He is testament to American staffs and pitbulls everywhere and is a fantastic example of his breed. He is one of the lucky ones who was adopted out and not destroyed.

The best dogs our family ever owned were pits & I would have never wanted 2 own another breed of dog after Black & Princess died. They had a litter of 12 pups & they were adopted by close friends, so we got 2 watch them all grow up. Every single pup was absolutely adored by their owners & became a member of their family - not just a watchdog who was kept in the yard 2 scare away potential thieves.
Thats sooo cool that u remember them! When we lived in Bridgeview they had a litter of like 15 pups & we gave them all 2 friends who had them 4 years after that! Jay kept 1 pup that he named Dagon - he was the best looking pit I ever saw!
This is important to me because it is ANIMAL RACISM and it i 100% wrong. its like turning around and and say a native- americam are savage so we must kill them.... Once again our government thinks they are doing the right thing, but really your just just killin hundreds of thounds to millions of innocent dogs. I own one of these amazing dogs, she is turley amazing. she's great with my 5 year old, my cats and my horses. She is 7 years old and not once have I had a problem with her she's great with people an all animals.
The BSL is tantamount to canine profiling and is bringing about an animal holocaust, just as Hitler decimated the Jews and other groups of people the Nazis decided they didn't like the look of! Do we really want to regress to such atrocities and ignorance? Have we not learned ANYTHING from this huge stain on human history? If applied to any group of people today, would it be acceptable to impose such a law against anyone who has never committed any crime, simply for looking a certain way? Of...

Pit Bulls well trained by good owners and bred well by good breeders shouldn't bite humans by nature. it is the owners responsibility to select a reputable breeder and train and control the dog well.
