    Empathy in this world would be Utopia. Unfortunately my faith in people isn't that strong. I believe that so many people are concerned more with $$$$ and will stop at nothing including murder, fraud and many other negative acts. There will always be people like us who care more for others and animals and that's what keeps me going.

    I wonder if the people who are so focused on the accumulation of money or some other form of greed aren't in the most need for empathy. What is it that is missing that they are trying to fill? Imagine all of those among us capable of empathy offering it to those around us that we know. Rather than judging our differences, let us find the root of them. Empathy may be the antidote to corruption, too. What are corporate Americans and politicians/leaders fearing, lacking or looking for when they engage in unethical or illegal acts for their own good/cause? Ethics do not exist without communication. Let us raise the bar in America and the world together. Empathy can lift us up to a higher, more sustainable level of living together.

    We just need to stop thinking about ourselves and think about the person next to us. If each of us asked each other how we were and an honest answer was given then the first step
